Harry Reid is Mormon. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and his wife converted to Mormonism while in college. Reid has consistently stated that Mormon and Democratic values are in agreement. LDS church leaders have voiced disapproval over some of Reid's positions; likewise, Reid has been critical of some of his church's political backings and endorsements.
