Bob Dylan

Bob Dylan was raised in a Jewish community where he had a Bar Mitzvah in 1954.

Yet in the early 1970’s he converted to Christianity through the influence of Pastor Kenn Gulliksen of Vineyard School of Discipleship in California. Dylan released two albums of Christian music, Slow Train Coming and Saved. For a time he wouldn’t play his older, secular songs, only his Christian ones.

In the 1990’s it was reported that Dylan’s sons participated in Bar Mitzvahs and even read from the Torah in synagogues on certain Jewish holidays.
