International Standard Bible Encyclopedia

The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia, abbreviated ISBE, is a Bible encyclopedia from a conservative evangelical Christian perspective. It was originally published by the Howard-Severance Co., Chicago, in 1915.

The ISBE contains articles by evangelical scholars on such topics as archaeological discoveries, the language and literature of Bible lands, customs, family life, occupations, and the historical and religious environments of Bible people.
