Biographies of Notable Jews
Famous people in the Jewish religion
Beginning with its forefather, Abraham, the Jewish religion has been filled with interesting, faithful, yet imperfect followers. Men, women, and children have followed the Torah over the millenniums, and some have done so in notable ways and as a result their names and deeds have been passed on from generation to generation.
Central to Jewish beliefs is the idea that God uses people to accomplish his work. Some of the greatest stories in the Hebrew Bible, like the 10 plagues of Egypt and the giving of the 10 commandments were a combination of supernatural revelation and work, combined with God using people to present and deliver his message. Even in the exodus from Egypt, God split the Red Sea, but he also used Moses and his staff.
